• There is plenty of parking available and we have six designated Visitor parking spaces for all first and second time guests!

Our Worship Service is a moderate contemporary style – a celebration of Jesus that is fresh and relevant while rooted in Scripture and focused on the Gospel. Dress is casual – wear whatever is comfortable for you!

What to Expect
When you visit Oakwood you will experience a joyful celebration of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. If you have a Bible you might want to bring it since we build all of our ministries on the Word of God. (Lots of people these days use a Bible App on a device, which is great as well!) If you aren’t yet familiar with the Bible, Oakwood is a great place to learn. We recommend starting with the Gospel of Mark in the New Testament and using the English Standard Version or another modern translation.

Oakwood is a community of Christ followers, so you will meet a lot of people when you come – from greeters at the doors to helpful volunteers at our Information Center and many others just coming to church. We hope you’ll give us the opportunity to get to know you! Contact Pastor Darin any time if you have questions!

Every Sunday we hand out a worship program that includes a Connection Card so we can stay current on contact information and connected with the prayer requests and other needs of all who attend. Whenever you would like to start receiving our weekly Oakwood Update email or any other information, just fill out a Connection Card and drop it in the offering basket or in the box in the back of the worship center (you’ll see it by the main doors as you are leaving).

We pass a basket to collect an offering every Sunday since we see giving back to our generous God as part of our worship. This is the one part of our gathering that is not for guests! Please come, enjoy the service, meet some people and simply pass the basket along.

What About My Child?
We are all about kids and families! We have loving volunteers who care for infants through preschoolers during our worship service. All of our children’s workers are screened, trained and supervised – so rest assured that your child will be safe and have fun while you enjoy the worship and fellowship. Classes for K-5th graders will kick off in August!

We offer a high energy Youth Group for Middle and High School students every Sunday night from 5-7:30 p.m. We encourage teenagers to attend the worship service with their parents so they can make church attendance a habit while they are still young.

Our desire as a church is to encourage and support parents as they raise their kids to know, love and follow Jesus. We hope that your family will soon become part of the Oakwood family!
