13. Safe

As he prepared to be arrested and go to the cross, Jesus prayed. John 17 brings us into the heart of the Lord Jesus and His primary concerns then and now. In the middle of this prayer we see three victories of Jesus: 1) he revealed God’s Name; 2) he proclaimed God’s Word and 3) he accomplished God’s mission. It is in the Name of Jesus that we are safe. It is His name we proclaim to bring others to safety and life in Him. And it is the exaltation of Jesus’ name that has been God’s mission in history. Come sing and celebrate Jesus, the Name above all names!
