“Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.”
Hebrews 10:23-25

Everyone needs support. As the harfoots (pre-hobbits) chanted in Rings of Power, “Nobody goes off trail! Nobody walks alone!” John expressed this in chapter one of Revelation.

“I, John, your brother and partner in the tribulation and the kingdom and the patient endurance that are in Jesus, was on the island called Patmos on account of the word of God and the testimony of Jesus.”

Revelation 1:9

We are brothers and sisters. We are partners, sharing together in both the troubles and struggles of this world and in the ministry and kingdom victories of life. Following Jesus is a path requiring long, patient endurance. It is not a quick sprint.

Therefore, we need each other.

We have several small group options that are ongoing, and a few that are just now starting up. Just check the options and contact the group leader for more information. If you have children and plan to bring them for Sunday morning or Thursday night, please let the group leader know so they can be sure the children’s ministry workers are prepared.

Here are five reasons to join a group next week!

  1. You are a fascinating person and the people in the group will enjoy getting to know you better.
  2. You will be blessed to have people actively praying for you and your loved ones.
  3. You will be inspired by the Word of God as you participate in Scripture based discussion.
  4. You will receive practical, relevant insights to immediately improve your life based on the topic or issue in which you are most interested right now: marriage, parenting, Genesis (the Monday group), loss (the Wednesday group) or Revelation.
  5. Above all, you will draw closer to the Lord Jesus as you build relationships with others who love and follow Him.

One more verse to move you to action.

“Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God.”

1 John 4:7
