1. The Small Stone

Daniel was taken as a prisoner to Babylon along with a number of other young, talented Jews in 605 B.C. Nebuchadnezzar was taking over for his deceased father and had just defeated the Egyptians, marking Babylon as the new power in the region. But then the powerful young king had a troubling dream and no one could explain the dream until the young Jew, Daniel, called for a prayer meeting. God enabled Daniel to interpret the dream of a great statue and a small stone, a dream that foretold the glory and fall of Babylon, the rise of the Medes, Persians and Greeks, and ultimately the dawn of a kingdom that would last forever, growing from that small stone. As we begin our Advent series, come be encouraged by the humble birth of the Lord Jesus and His glorious victory as the King whose kingdom will never end!
