1. Trust

Jesus’ disciples had plenty of reasons to be troubled. But Jesus gave them three reasons to trust instead, all rooted in the character of God: 1) God is gracious (and is preparing us for His place); 2) God is faithful (and Jesus will come back for us); 3) God is generous (and will meet all of our needs). Notice how these correspond very neatly with Jesus as “the way, the truth and the life.” The more we know God (in Christ) the more we will trust Him instead of worrying.
