The man from whom the demons had gone begged that he might be with him, but Jesus sent him away, saying, “Return to your home, and declare how much God has done for you.” And he went away, proclaiming throughout the whole city how much Jesus had done for him.

All of us have a story. You may not feel like yours is the most dramatic or exciting, but it is yours so it is God’s customized plan for you. And it is one of your best resources for helping others understand and experience the grace of God.
This summer we want to encourage everyone at Oakwood to write up and then record a 2-3 minute selfie video of you sharing your story. Be sure to keep it less than 3 minutes as we plan to post these in a large batch in late August as a social media blitz, so we want them to be consistent.
A simple format to follow is: A) 2-3 words to describe your life before Christ; B) a summary of how you came to understand and respond to the grace of Christ and; C) 2-3 words to describe your new life in Christ. This illustrates the transforming power of the gospel with the details of your story.
