14 Humility

Humility is the 13th and final character perfection of our Lord Jesus. Though He literally deserved everything in terms of honor, love and service Jesus laid down all of His rights and served us to the ultimate degree. In the process He not only saved us from our sin but showed us the path toward true humility: 1) understand you deserve nothing; 2) believe Jesus is everything; and 3) serve as your only thing. Our Lord and Master humbly washed feet, lived as a servant and then died on the cross. That is our example. That is humility.
