10. Parenting 101 - Loving Leadership

As we continue to apply the Gospel to every part of our lives, for two weeks we will focus on parenting. Christians parents must exercise loving leadership and loving discipline in our homes. Parenting 101 – Loving Leadership – involves modeling love for God in our own hearts and in our marriages. And it means leading our kids to 1) see the glory of God so they trust Him; 2) experience the love of God so they enjoy Him and 3) know the Word of God so they obey Him. We shepherd the hearts of our kids, we don’t just manage their behavior.

This is relevant for all of us – even those without kids in the home – as we consider how God parents us – shepherding our hearts and always calling us back to Himself!
